To study a degree at London Met, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If you require a Student visa you may need to provide the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS. This course requires you to meet our higher requirements.

If you need (or wish) to improve your English before starting your degree, the University offers a Pre-sessional Academic English course to help you build your confidence and reach the level of English you require.

For these degrees you'll be required to have the following scores:

Academic IELTS

Including IELTS Indicator/IELTS online/IELTS One Skill Retake OSR (both parts must be recorded and verified separately)

Overall score of 6.5 with 6.0 in each component

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic

70 in each component

TOEFL iBT (including Home Edition)

Component scores of: Listening: 21 | Reading: 22 | Writing: 21 | Speaking: 23

Kaplan International Tools for English (KITE)

Overall score of 475 with 450 in each component

Oxford ELLT

Overall score of 7 with 6 in each component (we will accept the digital version if you’re from a country listed under the differential evidence requirement)
